Henley Royal Regatta

What seems like an eternity a go. I had the opportunity to take some photographs at the Royal Henley rowing regatta.
Track night

On a cold wet January night I spent several hours photographing cyclists at the Palmer Park velodrome in Reading.
Excercise 10 Moment and Gesture (A 10ft Snowman!)

With temperatures down to -18˚C in the evening and yet another 12 inches of snow fall in parts of Oxfordshire, photography seemed to good an opportunity to pass up. A 10ft snowman in the centre of Henley on Thames was proving to be a real people magnet.
Excercise 9: A comfortable situation

The objective of this exercise was to find an outdoor situation where there would be many people and activities to photograph, where the people had not been asked in advance.
Assigment 1: A comprehensive portrait

Objective : Taking one person as a subject. Create between between 5 and 7 portraits (portraits 1 -7) which differ in type and style.
OCA Excercises 4 and 5

The intention of this photo shoot, was to get a couple of photographs that I could use for OCA assignment 1.
OCA – Exercise 3: Experimenting with light

This was my first attempt at excercise 3. The objective was to take a a number of portraits of the same subject with various lighting effects.
OCA – Excercise 2: Think about location (part 2)

Earlier in the week I visited various local locations to pick a suitable backdroup. Today I revisited the dissused barracks in Sonning common with a willing victim subject.
OCA – Excercise 1: Portrait, scale and setting

Enrolled to the OCA

Today I enrolled on the OCA. People and Place level 1 unit. I hope I can learn new skills/ways to create more sensitive or dynamic portraits.
