Track night

On a cold wet January night I spent several hours photographing cyclists at the Palmer Park velodrome in Reading.
The orginal intention was to use a 200mm telephoto lens to capture head on photographs of the cyclists as they passed by.

With the conditions as they were I found myself having to adapt my style, using wider angle lenses including a fish eye at times! I also found myself experimenting with rear curtain sync flash.

Before the evening I had wanted to use these photographs towards one of my exercise/assignments for the OCA. While the pictures didn’t meet the criteria for the OCA, I was extremely happy with some of the photos captured on the evening.
